RASTRIYA BAL SWASTHA KARYAKRAM (RBSK)
This is a new initiative launched in February 2013 which includes provision for Child Health Screening and early intervention services through early detection and management of 4 Ds ie. Defects at birth, Diseases Deficiency, Developmental delays including Disability. An estimated 27 crores children from birth to eighteen years are to be covered across the country in a phased wise manner. Child health Screening and Early Intervention Services target 30 common health conditions for early detection and free treatment and management. In our state RBSK programme was started from 13 july 2013.
Rastriya Kishor Swastha Karyakram:
Rastriya Kishor Swastha Karyakram (RKSK) was launched on the 7th of January ’14 with a view to address the health and development needs of 10-19 years of age group children which is 21 % of India’s population. RKSK has been implemented to strengthen the adolescent component of the RMNCH+A , is one of the weakest and a sub critical programme area, with a principles of programme are health promotion and community based approach which includes nutrition, sexual and reproductive health, injuries and violence, non communicable diseases, mental health and substance misuse.
Government has decided to implement the programme in phase wise manner in this regard our state two districts i.e east and west are selected for this programme.
