- Reduction of new leprosy cases with G2D to less than one case per million population
- Zero countries with legislation allowing discrimination on basis of leprosy
Leprosy Elimination is defined as reducing the prevalence of registered cases to less than 1 /10,000 population
- Sikkim achieved Elimination in 2003 with 53 registered cases with Prevalence Rate of 0.7/10,000 population
- This trend in Sikkim has continued till now with a current P.R of 0.11/10,000 population
Leprosy is eliminated as a public health problem but it is not ERADICATED
